With Gratitude for Our Organic Community

Thank You for Being Part of the National Organic Coalition

In this season of gratitude, the National Organic Coalition extends our heartfelt appreciation to everyone across the organic community who has stood with us throughout this challenging and inspiring year.

Grateful for those who help carry the load. To everyone in this community who steps up to support organic agriculture—whether through advocacy, partnership, or generosity—thank you for making this work possible. Together, we carry it forward.

We are deeply grateful to the farms and businesses who continue to grow and produce healthy food grounded in organic principles—caring for our communities, our soils, and the natural resources that sustain us all. By choosing organic practices and avoiding toxic chemicals, you help protect the health of people and the land while ensuring a viable future for generations to come.

We also want to thank all the advocates who lifted up their voices in response to NOC action alerts this year. At many critical moments, the organic community rallied to defend the staff, programs, and resources at federal agencies that organic farms and businesses rely on. Your engagement helped protect the integrity of the organic program we have all worked so hard to build together.

We are grateful as well for the leaders—across the organic movement and in allied communities—who are working to advance a more equitable food system. Your efforts help support a future where nutritious, toxin-free food is accessible to all; where workers are treated fairly; and where everyone across the food chain—farmworkers, farmers, processors, distributors, and consumers—has a good quality of life. We appreciate all those who recognize that our futures are intertwined and that supporting those who are most under-resourced strengthens our entire movement.

We extend our appreciation to our partners at the USDA National Organic Program and to the many USDA employees who, after a 43-day shutdown, are working tirelessly to restart essential activities—from enforcing the organic regulations and protecting the integrity of the seal to supporting farms through loans, conservation programs, market access, and risk management. Their dedication is vital to the continued strength of organic agriculture.

As we reflect on this past year, we wish you moments of celebration, community, and peace. Thank you for your partnership and support. Together, we are building a vibrant future where organic can thrive and where our shared vision for an ecological, equitable, and healthier food system can be realized.

With gratitude,

Abby Youngblood
