The National Organic Coalition (NOC) has recently registered as an independent nonprofit organization and we are applying for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Because NOC does not yet have independent 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, contributions to NOC are not currently tax-deductible as charitable gifts. If NOC receives a 501(c)(3) tax exemption, contributions should qualify for a charitable contribution deduction retroactively.
